Leaving unwanted items (furniture, electrical items, building materials or vegetation) on a footpath, road or public land without a Bulky Waste Collection booking looks bad, can damage our environment, harm our wildlife and our health.

It is also considered illegal and anyone caught dumping can be fined $4,000 on the spot.

If you see dumped items or someone illegally dumping, you should report it so we can investigate. Take note of:

  • the time, date, and location of the event
  • a description of any vehicles involved, including the number plate details
  • any further information that may help to identify the offender
