Occupation Certificate

Occupation Certificates (OC) are issued by the Principle Certifier upon completion of building works associated with a Construction Certificate or Complying Development Certificate.

This certificate confirms that the building is safe to be occupied and that the completed construction is consistent with the development consent.

Interim OC can be issued if the building is deemed safe to occupy and some building work is intended to be completed at a later date.
