MOSAIC English learning program is aiming to support students from multicultural backgrounds to improve language skills and build their confidence in everyday communication, contributing to their social integration and empowerment. We are making significant changes to the program structure from 2025 to ensure that every student can easily find the appropriate course tailored to their requirements.

2: If you are unable to take this online assessment or unsure about your level after completing the assessment, you can book a face-to-face assessment by contacting MOSAIC on 02 9777 7952 or email mosaic@willoughby.nsw.gov.au.

LCC - Chinese calligraphy

Suitable for beginners. Chinese calligraphy is the art of writing Chinese characters with a brush.  Being one of Chinese traditional arts, it combines various artistic elements like form, line, space, ink, and texture and has a history spanning over 4000 years. This course will cover kaishu (regular script) and lishu (official script). The instructor will give you detailed hands-on instructions in calligraphy brush techniques and you will then choose the style of writing you are interested. Through this course, you will not only learn how to write beautifully but also explore the essence of Chinese culture through its written language.
