Celebrate the opening of Tracy Stirzaker's solo exhibition, More Myself - A Journey of Self Love.

Guest Speaker: Angela Raspass Founder Centre for Self-Worth

Inspiring and thought-provoking artist Tracy explores her life as a woman, mother, carer and artist.

"With art I feel I can express my emotions and I can get lost in the process of making – art is me time."

This exhibition by Tracy Stirzaker explores themes of self-worth, self-love and self-care which resonate strongly with current times. Featuring textiles, painting, encaustics, works on paper and immersive installations, More Myself provides a commentary on society through an investigation of the body and human experience from a female perspective.

Spaces are limited. Light refreshments provided.

About the Artist

Sydney based artist Tracy Stirzaker sees herself as an observer and critic of contemporary Australian society and is inspired by her lived experience. Employing painting and textiles techniques, Stirzaker uses the repetition of motifs in her artwork to explore the emotional body within the everyday constraints of social politics, cultural values and beliefs.

Tracy Stirzaker has exhibited regularly in group exhibitions. A finalist in both the Hunters Hill and the Ravenswood Women’s Art Prizes in 2018, Stirzaker had her first solo show at Gallery Lane Cove in 2018. Stirzaker had her 2nd solo show in 2019 at White Rhino Artspace, a gallery she cofounded and directed, in St Leonards. After years doing local art classes Tracy Stirzaker pursued a Bachelor of Fine Arts at UNSW Art & Design 2016.

This project, More Myself – A Journey of Self Love, was awarded a Willoughby Arts & Culture Grant in 2021 and is Tracy Stirzaker’s third solo art exhibition.

About Angela Raspass

Angela Raspass is a Sydney-based business mentor, author, and self-worth educator, supporting women to step into their next chapter and do the work in the world they're here for. She brings a unique combination of insight, empathy and experience to her coaching, retreats, podcast and speaking engagements.

In 2003, after a corporate career in marketing, events and sponsorships, Angela launched a marketing agency from her dining room table and grew it to a point where she bought an office on the northside of Sydney and had a small full-time team.

By 2012 Angela realised she had created a business that leveraged her skills and experience but no longer fully engaged her. It wasn’t a fit for who she had become, a woman utterly changed by overcoming addiction, reconnecting with her self-worth, and developing a fresh vision and mission. She closed the agency and pivoted from consulting to mentoring, developing a potent blend of personal and business development tools that help her client's blend contribution, fulfilment and financial reward.

Angela is also the founder of the Centre for Self-Worth where she will soon be offering a Facilitators Certification Program for those who guide and support others, encompassing the Habits of Self-Worth through a blend of neuroscience, positive psychology and ACT (Acceptance Commitment Training).

Angela is a book lover, journal collector, soccer player and life-long learner. She lives in Bayview, on Sydney’s Northern Beaches, with her husband and daughter.
