CCCA - Chinese cultural appreciation

Suitable for both Chinese speaking and non-Chinese speaking students who wish to enhance individual life experiences when interacting with Chinese culture in work, school or community.

This short program consists of six sessions delivered in English. It features and illustrates different Chinese culture elements through historic stories, philosophical thoughts, traditional festivals and daily life habits (eating and drinking). Through discussions addressing each participant's challenges, interests and needs, it will help students further understand Chinese culture with fun.

LTCB - Tai chi beginners

This is a self-empowerment course designed to cultivate and accumulate the body’s internal energy towards a higher state of balance and harmony. Thus leading to a happier and healthier lifestyle.  

The first half hour will be devoted to learning a set of ancient Chinese qigong exercises called the Eight pieces of brocade, 八段錦 Ba duan Jin.  The remaining time will be used to learn basic tai chi techniques and movements.

This course is delivered in English and Cantonese.

LCCPB - Chinese calligraphy post-beginners

Suitable for previous students who have completed Chinese Calligraphy Beginner course at MOSAIC since 2024 only.

Students will continue to deepen understanding of Chinese character structure while starting to create one’s own artwork. The focus will be on refining techniques, exploring composition, and developing personal expression through calligraphy. Following the exhibition in September, students will transition into learning regular script (楷书), traditional seal script (篆书) or bronze script (金文), providing an opportunity to explore ancient styles of Chinese calligraphy and appreciate their cultural and historical significance.
