Vacation Care

Vacation Care services provide care to primary school aged children during the NSW gazetted school holiday periods. Council operates three Vacation Care Services:

Council’s Vacation Care services are licensed by the Department of Education under the Education and Care Services National Regulation, comply with the National Standards for Outside School Hours Care, and participate in the National Quality Standard Assessment & Rating Process.

Spring 2020 Vacation Care Services

Willoughby City Council Children’s Services are complying with advice from the Australian and NSW Governments, the Department of Education and NSW Health. Should this advice result in a lockdown of services, Council will fully refund fees for vacation Care.

We will continue to follow the government’s advice and will advise of any changes to our operations immediately.

Based on current advice, we have modified the Spring Vacation Care program. Due to demand for Vacation Care, Council will be running Vacation Care from Artarmon only for this period.

Please note

  • In order to support social distancing measures, there will be no excursions during the spring holiday period;

  • We have increased levels of personal hygiene and cleaning in the centre;

  • We will encourage all staff and children to follow recommended hygiene procedures including sneezing and coughing etiquette and handwashing practices;

  • We will have also hand sanitiser available to families at the entrance of the service for parents/carers to use as you enter and leave the premises; and

  • We will be asking parents/carers to ensure that their hands are clean before using the iPad to electronically sign in/out.

If parents identify on the enrolment form that their child has been diagnosed with Asthma, they are required under the Education and Care Services Regulations to provide an Asthma Action Plan.
If your child has asthma, please download the plan and have it completed by your child’s doctor.
The plan must be attached to your enrolment form, or given to the Centre's Nominated Supervisor prior to commencement of care. This only needs to be provided once, or as updated by the doctor.
