What traffic changes should I expect as a result of construction?

Traffic flow on Hampden Road will be reduced to one lane each direction.

Right hand turn bans for southbound traffic on Hampden Road into Garage Lane, Francis Road, and Broughton Road will apply at various stages. Changes will be clearly sign posted.

What will remain open during the works?

Whilst we appreciate the works will at times cause disruption, we will maintain:

  • Temporary parking spaces to maximise parking.
  • A drop off/pick up area to access the shops and station.
  • Vehicle traffic along Hampden Road in both directions.
  • Accessible and kiss and ride parking spots. Please keep an eye out for signs advising of changes to the position of these spots (positioning may change from each stage of the project to the next).
  •  Bus services still be operating. The bus stop may move in location during the works but will remain on the station side of Hampden Road, south of Jersey Street.

Will parking still be available?

Parking will still be available on the side streets and kerbside to Hampden Road.
