The showstopper? A 9-foot-tall, fully operational model of Sydney's iconic Luna Park Ferris Wheel, twinkling with fairy lights! These incredible, working masterpieces aren’t just for kids—they’ll thrill adults too, offering a unique fusion of artistry and engineering. Don’t miss your chance to witness this awe-inspiring collection in person!

About the Artist

Alex is a self-taught, neurodiverse artist from the Northern Beaches whose work explores motion, form, and imagination through K’nex, LEGO, and recycled materials. Since childhood, Alex was drawn to recreating structures that fascinated him—Luna Park rides, ferries, buses, cable car tracks, bowling alleys to name a few. Using an inventive mix of building sets, plasticine, paper, timber, skewers, and more, he transforms everyday materials into dynamic, moving sculptures.

At the age of eight, Alex built his first Ferris wheel from spaghetti and plasticine, powered by nothing more than the airflow from a pedestal fan. Today, his Ferris wheel has evolved into a nine-foot-tall installation constructed entirely from K’Nex parts and powered by just two AA batteries.

Earlier this year, Alex presented his work at the Sydney Family Easter Show at Moore Park, where his creations were noted by Channel 9. Visitors have described his work as deeply inspirational, particularly for children, encouraging creativity, play, and new ways of seeing art.

This exhibition is Alex’s third public event. He invites you to experience his playful, inventive structures: each one a testament to imagination, ingenuity and wonder.
