An exhibition of sculptural works by Jim Flook.

Lyrical Journeys is a sculptural symphony of curved, twisted visual lines and steel planes swinging in and out of view with a playful emotional energy, a celebration of being in the moment. Each work is structurally diverse in tension like music, yet conversational between each piece. Flook developed a poem with calligraphic text to resonate with the sinuous volumes of space and light in his sculptures.

Jim Flook is a Sydney based artist and architect with a modern journeyman approach to mastering skills in stonemasonry carving, welding, bronze casting, printmaking and painting. His art practice incorporates sketching, metalwork, stonemasonry, printmaking, painting and place making. Primarily a sculptor of athletic figures and contemporary lyrical abstract forms, the work attempts to champion poetic inspiration and the sensuality of materials.
