Inspire to Lead - Leadership development workshop series

Community leadership workshops for CALD community members.

The Inspire to Lead project aims to develop skills and knowledge of cultural and linguistically diverse (CALD) leaders and has three main components.

  1. Community leadership development program (CLDP)
  2. Cultural exchange program
  3. Development of a network of community leaders for an ongoing community connection.

As part of the project we are inviting community leaders to attend a series of three workshops supported by theory and practical models from both international research and lived experiences.

Workshop topics will include:

  • Principles of personal vision, leadership and management
  • Self-awareness in the community
  • Communication skills including intercultural communication
  • Community leaders and leadership styles and identity
  • Asset based community development (ABCD)
  • Asset mapping
  • Introduction to appreciative inquiry
  • Networking, collaboration and advocacy.

The Inspire to Lead project also includes cultural tours to different cultural and religious organisations including tour to The Parliament of NSW.
