The Inspire to Lead project aims to develop skills and knowledge of cultural and linguistically diverse (CALD) leaders and has three main components.
- Community leadership development program (CLDP)
- Cultural exchange program
- Development of a network of community leaders for an ongoing community connection.
As part of the project we are inviting community leaders to attend a series of three workshops supported by theory and practical models from both international research and lived experiences.
Workshop topics will include:
- Principles of personal vision, leadership and management
- Self-awareness in the community
- Communication skills including intercultural communication
- Community leaders and leadership styles and identity
- Asset based community development (ABCD)
- Asset mapping
- Introduction to appreciative inquiry
- Networking, collaboration and advocacy.
The Inspire to Lead project also includes cultural tours to different cultural and religious organisations including tour to The Parliament of NSW.
