Recycling and waste

What is waste and what can be recycled? Through song and dance children learn which items go in which household bin, establishing good sustainable practices for the future. 

  • Incursion delivered by Adventure Kids Entertainment.
  • Suitable for children aged 4 to 6 years.
  • 45-minute session during weekdays.
  • ‘Pirate Pete’s recycling and sustainability adventure’ is delivered through song and dance.
  • A hands-on interactive activity to learn which home bin to put common items into.
  • Maximum one session per preschool per year. Maximum 30 children per session.

Selection process

  • Submit an application detailing preferred dates.
  • Maximum 7 daycare or preschool groups (Willoughby Council area only) will be selected for each of the 2 periods January to June and July to December.
