Want to feel more confident cycling for fun, fitness or riding around your neighbourhood? Join our cycling class with qualified instructors.

Learn safer cycling skills in a supportive environment with qualified, experienced instructors. This adults’ cycling class is held off-road on the netball courts at Bicentennial Reserve, and includes a guided ride through the beautiful Flat Rock Gully nature reserve.

You’ll get personalised instruction in this small class, to learn:

  • bike control plus awareness skills to cycle safely in off-street environments
  • how to co-operatively ‘share the way’ with other path users
  • negotiate road crossings when travelling along shared paths and cycleways
  • the priorities that determine road traffic movements.

What to bring:

  • A bike in good working order (Please make sure the brakes, gears and chain are working and there’s air in the tyres. This is a requirement for participation in the class)
  • Helmet
  • Water bottle and snacks
  • Warm clothing if cold and sunblock if sunny

This cycling class is for Willoughby Council residents only.

Please note: we are only able to issue refunds up to 7 days before the class.
