Services over the 2025-26 Christmas New Year period

Waste and resource recovery

Weekly waste collections will continue as normal. Any missed services or waste issues should be logged via the online portal.

However, Council will not be providing bulky waste clean-up services, mattress collections or HomeCycle services during this period. The public will also be unable to book these services during this time.

Willoughby Leisure Centre

The centre will be running on an altered schedule which will affect operating hours and the group fitness timetable. Please visit the WLC website for more information.

Willoughby City Library

All Willoughby City Libraries will close by 5pm on Wednesday 24 December 2025. Chatswood Library will re-open on Monday 29 December at 9:30am.

Chatswood Library opening hours:

• Monday 29 December - 9:30am to 5pm
• Tuesday 30 December - 9:30am to 5pm
• Wednesday 31 December - 9:30am to 5pm
• Thursday 1 January - CLOSED for the public holiday
• Friday 2 January - 9:30am to 5pm
• Saturday 3 January - 9:30am to 5pm
• Sunday 4 January - 9:30am to 5pm

Regular open hours will resume for both Chatswood Library and all branch libraries from Monday 5 January. Please see the library website for further details.

The after-hours return chute will remain open over the Christmas New Year period.

Zenith Theatre

Staff will attend work as required to support events at the theatre.

The theatre will fully re-open on Thursday 8 January 2026.
