An appeal to the land and Environment Court to lift an Interim Heritage Order placed by Council was dismissed on 17 January 2024. A Planning Proposal has been made to the NSW Department of Planning, Housing and Infrastructure to expand the listing to include the Presbytery and school buildings. Further consultation with the community will occur regarding the Heritage Listing once advised by the State Government. It is anticipated that the proposal will be publicly exhibited in March 2024. The Interim Heritage Order over the site will expire 24 May 2024 and any Heritage Listing will need to be approved by this time.
