Internationally-acclaimed flutist, Jane Rutter presents the second Live at Lunch concert on 12 May with a program that celebrates the music of Italy, Swoon Italia! Cantabile, Cantare e Ballare!

Hosted by Willoughby City Council, 2021 sees the popular lunch-time series return with seven fabulous concerts across the year.

Mention the word flute to any Australian, and the name Jane Rutter immediately springs to mind. Jane is a classical music trailblazer known for her onstage warmth, she brilliantly conveys passion, sparkling technique and elegance of expression through her beautiful flute playing.

She will be joined by virtuosi instrumentalists – guitarist Giuseppe Zangari and pianist Marcello Maio, to play a selection of gorgeous Italian pieces, arias and dances by Italian master composers Verdi, Giuliani, Monteverdi, Vivaldi, Sor, Boccherini, Rossini and others.

“This will be a feel-good concert of divine Italian music that will truly uplift the spirits and make the heart sing,” Jane said.

“We are absolutely thrilled to be back. There is nothing quite like live music to bring joy to the community. Music keeps the emotional portals open.”

Audience members can join Jane and the performers for lunch after the concert.
