Talks@Willoughby presents Noel Braun: Searching for Meaning in the Camino de Santiago
Thursday 4 April 2019, 1pm to 2pm
258 Sailors Bay Rd, Northbridge
Hear author Noel Braun share his experiences walking the Camino de Santiago of north-western Spain at Northbridge Library next month.
After the suicide of his wife, Noel embarked on a spiritual quest of self-discovery. He decided to walk two of the more popular routes of the Camino de Santiago, describing these walks in his book The Day Was Made for Walking.
Woven into his spiritual and emotional journey are fascinating stories of the people he meets. His second book I Guess I’ll Just Keep on Walking describes where the spiritual and physical merge with the ancient and the modern.
Noel undertook these pilgrimages in his late 70’s and early 80’s. Last year at the age of 84, Noel embarked on a fifth journey, the subject perhaps of a future book.
Copies of the author’s books will be available for sale on the day.
