Shoes

Shoes should go in your red general waste bin.

Avoid landfill and explore the many ways to recycle your old shoes.  

The Northern Sydney Community Recycling Centre accepts good quality shoes (up to 20kg per drop off). Trial phase until April 2024. 

Shoes can be recycled through HomeCycle by booking a pick-up from your doorstep.

Tread Lightly recycle footwear into material used to make playground and sport field flooring - Find a collection location, including Rebel Sport and Platypus. 

If in good condition, consider donating your shoes to a local charity or Shoes for Planet Earth, a not-for-profit organisation providing reused running shoes to those in need around the world.
