Trees on neighbouring property

Local Councils in NSW do not have the authority to compel pruning or removal of a tree that is impacting a neighbouring property.

If you have concerns about a tree located on an adjacent property, it is best to resolve this issue by having a friendly discussion with your neighbour and working with them to find a solution.

If your neighbour does not address your concerns, you may wish to seek help by contacting a Community legal centre in NSW which provides free services designed to support the resolution of disputes through mediation.
