Container Deposit Scheme
Launched in December 2017, the Return and Earn container deposit scheme is a NSW Government initiative aimed at reducing litter volume in NSW by 40 per cent by 2020.
With more than 160 million drink containers littered in NSW every year, we all have a part to play in cleaning up our streets, beaches and green spaces.

Please note: Return and Earn is designed to complement, not replace, the kerbside recycling scheme. Residents are still encouraged to utilise their yellow-lidded bin for containers that are consumed in the home.
Donate your refund
You have the option to donate your refund to a not-for-profit or community organisation at all Reverse Vending Machines. Check the current Donation Partners featured at the Chatswood East Reverse Vending Machine.
