Terms and Conditions

When you are entering the End of Trip Facility (Facility) at 75 – 79 Albert Avenue, Chatswood, you accept the following terms and conditions of use:

  • Council provides Facility free of charge at 75 - 79 Albert Avenue, Chatswood for a limited time period*.
  • Each time you use the Facility, you accept that it is in good, safe working order.
  • Council endeavours to maintain the Facility to the best standards possible within its resource limits.
  • A bicycle parking space cannot be guaranteed for you in any bike racks as they are provided equitably to all customers on a first come, first served basis.
  • The Facility will open between 6 am–12 am (Midnight) every day. No access is available outside these times.
  • The door will be locked between 12.01am to 5.59am every day. No access is available to the Facility during these times
  • You must use the Facility responsibly and safely at all times and must respect other people's property inside the Facility.
  • The Facility is designed to encourage cycling uptake. Therefore, you can only park bicycles in the Facility.
  • You must ensure you do not access and use the Facility in a way which would or may:
    • Damage the Facility, any other part of the building where the Facility is located, or any personal or other property located in the Facility.
    • Place the safety of yourself, any other user, or building occupants at risk.
    • Place the security of the building where the Facility is located and the facility property at risk.
  • You must only enter and exit the Facility using the designated entry and egress paths.
  • You must securely close the doors on entry and exit at all times. 
  • The use of the Facility is solely at your own risk.
  • You will have no claim against the Willoughby City Council or its employees for any loss, theft or damage to property or personal injury or loss of life directly or indirectly related to the use of the Facility.
  • Council is not liable for any loss, damage or theft of your bicycle (or any other equipment) stored in Facility.
  • You must not keep any other equipment or dangerous goods inside Facility
  • You must not leave your bicycle in such a way that it impedes or obstructs the safe movement in, out and around the bike shed for all users.
  • Council will regularly inspect and monitor appropriate usage of the Facility.
  • Council will remove any bicycle (and any other equipment) deemed as abandoned**.
  • You must promptly notify any lost property, damage to the facility or maintenance issues to Willoughby City Council.
  • Council has the right to refuse entry/admittance to the Facility if these terms and conditions are not complied with.

 

*Free Period: Willoughby City Council is to monitor the operation of the Facility for a period of six months. At which time the Management and Operation Plan may be modified including changes to the Terms and Conditions and the introduction of a fee for the usage. 

**Abandoned bicycles and equipment: bicycles will be considered abandoned if reported or observed as not being used for 3 consecutive days. After this time, the bicycle will be removed from the location. If property is not claimed in 30 days after removal, it will become the property of Willoughby City Council to dispose of permanently.
