The Scarlet Banksia is one of the most attractive banksias from Western Australia and it is a popular plant used by florists. It has complicated architecture, bright red and silver colour scheme and compact leaves’ structure. We will uncover its secrets and open up its complexity. Step by step instructions will make it simple to paint for those with no previous painting or drawing experience.

In this workshop you will learn how to use acrylic to create layers of elements. We will use not only brushes, but other painting tools as well. We will talk about: illusion of depth, composition and colour theory.

Workshop for adults and children from 12 years old. No previous painting or drawing experience required. All the materials supplied. Bookings essential.

About the artist

Tetiana Koldunenko is a painter, designer and illustrator based in Sydney, Australia. She was born in Kyiv the capital of Ukraine and relocated to Australia in 2010. She has an across the globe Art Education (Ukraine, Italy, Australia). Tetiana is a versatile artist who utilises a lot of mediums. Her artworks characterised by a very fine sense of colour and immaculate attention to details. Her focus is to draw attention to beauty around us.
