An exhibition of landscape paintings, installations and small sculptures by Bernadette Facer, Frances O'Rourke and Ana Young.
This exhibition showcases the work of three artists responding to Willoughby Bay and the surrounding bushland. The works in Response reflect Bernadette Facer’s, Frances O'Rourke’s and Ana Young’s time as artists in residence with the North Sydney Council. Their acts of mark making are about meeting the world and abstracting its contrasts, from landscape to natural elements. From waterfalls to coastal places to contours of private and common significance. Immediacy of locality has allowed for their body of work to grow organically; to speak of a landscape through the continued observations of the adumbration of tidelines and whispering shadows.
