Take urban nature shots that pop!

Be guided on how to capture stunning local nature photography using your mobile. Attendees will receive a print of their own unique photo.

Come for a short walk around the heart of Chatswood to learn how to take beautiful nature photos in our urban environment. Use your own smartphone and get up close to see amazing minuscule details in leaves, bark and flowers through the use of a clip-on macro lens. Or step back and capture the majestic branches of our local trees.

Experienced visual artist, Paula Broom from the Tree Veneration Society will guide you on what to consider and how to frame the shots for unique art pieces that were created by you. Your photographs of nature’s patterns, texture, light and shade, and colour can be used as unique backgrounds for digital assets or as prints that can be framed for your place.

Every attendee will have one of their photos printed for free. This workshop will take place even with inclement weather as we will have a room to use in the Dougherty Community Centre.

Limited spaces are available, reserved for Willoughby Council residents only. Bookings for this event will open on Friday 30 December 2022 at 9am.
