Chatswood Year of the Rabbit Festival presents this unforgettable free outdoor concert featuring classical music from East to West.

George Ellis, one of Australia's most talented conductors and composers will lead the extraordinary Willoughby Symphony Orchestra together with Australian Chinese soloists including popular soprano Cathy-Di Zhang, baritone Haotian Qi and Erhu Tuqiang Zhang.

The concert features immensely acclaimed Chinese classic Spring Festival. A joyful exuberant piece composed by Huanzhi Li, depicting the scene that folks in Shanbei region were celebrating the Chinese New Year, will highlight the concert with its grand return with perfect festival ambience to the audiences.

This ground breaking concert from the Willoughby Symphony Orchestra will now be free for thousands to enjoy at Chatswood Oval. Bring along a picnic blanket and settle in for an unforgettable evening featuring a spectacular line-up of classical music from Eastern and Western repertoire such as Spring Festival Overture and Brahms Hungarian Dances.

This event is part of 2023 Chatswood Year of the Rabbit Festival, presented by Willoughby City Council, funded by the NSW Government and proudly sponsored by ACY Securities.
