Kantha Stitching workshop for beginners

MainImage.jpg
Join our creative workshop to upcycle old fabrics and create a beautiful, unique embroidered bag using an Indian style of mending.

In this hands-on class, instructors from Reverse Garbage will guide you through this popular method of layering fabrics over one another, then stitching together in a patchwork style to create useful embroidered bags that are strong and very pleasing to the eye.

You'll be able to create your own colour scheme and unique artistic design to create a beautiful upcycled bag that you can use daily.

This is a clever way to upcycle old or worn fabrics or perhaps find a purpose for fabric offcuts. If you have any fabric offcuts you'd like to use feel free to bring them along otherwise they will also be provided.

You'll leave feeling creatively fulfilled and ready to practise the skills you've learnt to mend and upcycle any garments or fabrics you have.

Spaces are strictly limited and are reserved for Willoughby City Council residents. This event will sell out. If you have booked and cannot attend anymore, please let us know so that we can give your ticket to someone on the waitlist.
