Composting and Worm Farming

Join us for a fun hands-on workshop to learn about composting and worm farming, and their importance for healthy soil.

Learn how to turn your kitchen and garden waste into precious food full of nutrients for your garden to thrive.

Hosted at our beautiful Hub Community Garden, you will gain an understanding about:

  • What is compost and how it is made
  • The environmental benefits of composting
  • The basic compost recipe
  • Hot and cold composting
  • Worm farming
  • Applying compost for maximum return — compost, worm farms, compost teas, and worm teas.

If you are no longer able to attend for any reason, please cancel your booking online through Eventbrite (via the link in your booking confirmation email) or email env.educators@willoughby.nsw.gov.au as soon as possible to let us know, so we can offer the spot to someone else. Please only commit to the event if you intend to show up. Many of our events are fully booked with a waiting list and recurring non-attendance at events may result in your individual bookings being refused in the future.
