Bird walk at North Arm Reserve

Want to know about our amazing bird diversity in Willoughby?

Join us on a guided bushwalk with bird expert Mark Fuller as we go bird watching to identify and learn about the local birdlife in North Arm Reserve. Beginner birdwatchers are welcome. Feel free to bring your own binoculars to help see any birds we find.

Bushwalk Details

  • Bushwalk starts at 9:30am and ends at 11:30am.
  • For those making their own way, we will meet at the end of Willis Road, Castle Cove.
  • There is limited parking at the meeting area so you may need to park up the road, near 33 Willis Road. Please refer to the Google map attached.
  • Limited bus pick-up will be available at the Dougherty Community Centre carpark area (7 Victor Street, Chatswood). Bookings required. The bus will arrive at 9am. After the walk, you will be driven back to the same pick-up point.
  • Bring a hat, sunscreen and water.
  • Must be fit enough to walk for 2 hours with some rest during the walk.
  • They’ll be some uneven surfaces. Please consider if you are able to do this walk, especially if you have mobility constraints or recently had surgery.
  • Morning tea will be provided around 11.30am (tea, coffee and biscuits) for up to 30 minutes.
  • For those catching the minibus we’ll aim to leave by 12pm be back at the Dougherty Community Centre by 12.30pm.
  • Suitable for adults only. No children or pets allowed.
  • Comply with current COVID-19 restrictions.
