Come along and check out the recently opened Creator Space at Chatswood Library.
Open to all - this space hosts creative and collaborative groups you are welcome to join!
Drop by throughout the afternoon and evening and see what the groups have been working on and what our Creator Space could offer you.
1pm to 1.45pm:
Easy ways to reduce your plastic use for Plastic Free July
As part of our Plastic free July activities, come along to find out what council is doing to reduce the use of single-use plastics in its operations and what you can do.
Presented by Willoughby Council’s Environmental Educators.
2pm to 3pm:
Native pollinators and good bug hotels
We have many native pollinators and there are things you can do to help them do well in your garden. At this presentation we will talk about the different native bees and other pollinators in our area that could well be in your garden and show you how to make a cute hotel for native solitary bees.
Presented by Willoughby Council’s Bushland team.

Find out how to make a Boomerang Bag – and help reduce plastic use in our community.
- Chatswood Library Knitting Group
Meet the Chatswood Library knitters for Q&A
- Spinning Demonstration
See spinning in action and learn how to make your own recyclable drop spindle.
- Writing groups and programs
Find out about the writing groups and programs that the library are running.
5pm to 6pm:
- Chatswood Library Camera Group Mini Exhibition
Photographer and group facilitator, Zen Loy, presents works produced by the Library’s very own Camera Group in this mini exhibition. Zen will be available to answer questions regarding the camera group if you would like to find out more.
- CoderDojo on show
See the Scratch, mBots and Lego Mindstorm projects that Chatswood Library’s CoderDojo have been working on.
- Chainmail jewellery demo
The Missing Link will demonstrate how to make Chainmail jewellery using 100% recyclable pre-cut jump rings.
- Local History Hub
Drop by to see what’s happening in Local History now and how we can help you.
7pm to 8:30pm:
- Sydney Video Makers Club Showcase
The Sydney Video Makers Club will showcase their work and provide Q&A in the grand finale for the night.
