Description:

Want to know how your smartphone can help you get around with confidence?

In this workshop you’ll learn what an app is, and how to use three different transport apps for trains, buses and other forms of public transport to get around.

We’ll look at three of the more popular apps in this workshop:

  • Transport for NSW Trip Planner
  • OPAL Travel, and
  • MOOVIT

If you are bringing your own smartphone or device, you can download and install the apps before the workshop, or you can use the Library's devices on the day.

The Tech Savvy Seniors program assists seniors who have limited or no previous experience in using technology to learn new skills for the future. The training is free and will help older people to access information and stay connected with their family, friends and communities.

Tech Savvy Seniors is a partnership between the NSW Government and Telstra.
