An exhibition of paintings by the Indigenous artists of Papunya Tjupi Arts
Presented by Honey Ant Gallery, Stories from the Beginning is an exhibition of paintings by the Indigenous artists of Papunya Tjupi Arts. This thoughtfully curated exhibition presents new works by the talented artists of this remote art centre. Based in Papunya, the birthplace of Central Desert dot-painting, these iconic artists are passionate protectors of their culture. In sharing their ‘stories from the beginning’ they are keeping their country and culture strong.
Artists include: Ada Andy Napaltjarri, Emily Andy Napaltjarri, Connie Brown, Pam Brown, Watson Corby, Candy Nelson Nakamarra, Minnie Nelson Nakamarra, Narlie Nelson Nakamarra, Isobel Gorey Nampitjinpa, Mona Nangala, Tilau Nangala, Beyula Puntungka Napanangka, Sharon Butcher Napanangka, Ena Lane Napangardi, Glenda Poulson Napangardi, Maureen Poulson Napangarti, Doris Bush Nungarrayi, Martha McDonald Napaltjarri, Puuni Brown Nungarrayi, Rosalie Miller Jugadai Napaltjarri, Charlotte Phillipus Napurrula, Jacqueline Phillipus Napurrula, Patricia Phillipus Napurrula and Carbiene McDonald Tjangala.
