Come and meet the local heros from Willoughby Fire Station and learn about the roles of Fire Rescue NSW and how they serve and assist the community in a '000' situation.

  • General fire safety in the home tips encompass:
  • Have working smoke detectors in the residence. 
  • Have an evacuation plan
  • Use fire extinguishers and fire blankets in fire situations and closing doors to prevent fire growth
  • Keep looking while cooking 
  • Learn the role of sprinklers, smoke detectors, fire isolated stairwells and evacuation systems for high rise building residents

Five talks are delivered in English first and then translated to respective languages so English speakers are welcome to join any talks.
