North Sydney Council will be running a Pollinator Workshop at the Coal Loader 11th Nov 2017.

For local activities:

Wednesday, 15th November from 10.00 to 11.00 am we will be joined by Dr Scott Wilson from Macquarie University to discover and identify some of our local native pollinators in Artarmon’s streets and Reserve. Techniques in trapping and identifying insects will be demonstrated. This activity is suitable for adults.

Meet at the Artarmon Reserve Carpark, next to the BBQ and amenities shed at 9.45am for a 10am start. Please wear suitable clothing for the weather conditions including a hat and water. We will take a walk along the street as well as along a bush track so suitable shoes with covered toes are recommended. Bring along a camera and binoculars if you have them.

Please book below to register your interest.

You may also be interested in attending a survey between 10am and 12 noon in one of our other reserves, bushcare sites or nearby local gardens. This will be depend on the weather being still and sunny, where the flowers are and interest from participants. Surveys will be conducted near Harold Reid, Explosives Reserve, Mowbray Park or Blue Gum Reserve during this week on Tuesday to Thursday.

Please email Wildlifewatch@willoughby.nsw.gov.au or call Liz Powell on 9777 7871 to identify when and where you would like to attend.
