Let the sound of angels soothe you into an end-of-year state of bliss, as brilliant flute and harp duo, Jane Rutter - flute, and Louise Johnson - harp, present a rêverie of gorgeous classical and meditative music to lift the spirits.

Pan and the Angels is the mesmerizing final concert in the 2021 Live at Lunch Series on Wednesday 15 December at The Concourse Concert Hall, Chatswood.

This concert coincides with the launch of a brand new compilation album Pan and the Angels for Flute & Harp.

The concert transports with Debussy’s L’Après-midi dun faune (Afternoon of a Faun), and evocative works by Mozart, Zabel, Donizetti, Ross Edwards and Elena Kats-Chernin. Brilliant young 18-year-old soprano, Liz Player (Sydney Conservatorium of Music High School class of ’21), joins the stars for some wonderful Australian Christmas songs.

Louise and Jane are loved by audiences around the world. The concert and album draw inspiration from their early recording collaborations, including Mozart’s divine Flute & Harp Concerto KV 299, conducted by Live at Lunch Patron, the legendary Maestro Richard Bonynge AC, CBE.

Louise and Jane have enjoyed spectacular careers, with an impressive body of creative work that spans decades.

Let the enchanting music transport you to halcyon days, and a world of dreams and angels.

Louise Johnson is a former Principal Harp Soloist, Sydney Symphony Orchestra. Jane is Australia’s best-loved flutist, Artistic director and French Knight. Both artists are internationally renowned concert soloists.
