Discover why Willoughby residents say their quality of life is great

You’ve said you’ve got a great quality of life, value communication and think we’re doing well in maintaining parks, bushland and sportsfields as well as roads, footpaths and public spaces. You love our cultural activities, how we look after the elderly and want us to plan for a growing population. These are just a few of the key findings in our two yearly community perception survey to help us understand what our community thinks about our services and facilities. Discover more about what matters to the people of Willoughby in an interactive community information seminar hosted online via Zoom at 6.30pm on 22 March.

Chaired by Mayor Gail Giles-Gidney, the information seminars are a way Council is engaging with the community. They are a forum for people to hear about significant initiatives and projects and to ask questions.

The Community Perception Survey is run by an external provider, Micromex Research, and is an important part of improving Council’s services to the community.

Mark Mitchell, General Manager of Micromex will share the results of the November 2020 survey and talk about what they mean for the City of Willoughby. He will reveal how the survey was undertaken and unpack this year’s statistics and trends.

For the first time in 2020 the community perception survey asked questions about community resilience and provides vital insight into community sentiment in the aftermath of a pandemic, bushfires, storms, extreme heat and economic challenges.
