Chatswood Transport Interchange

Chatswood Transport Interchange

An interesting artistic element is the rail parapet of the Chatswood Interchange, which has been designed as a “wave” wall expressive movement.  It runs along the 300 metre length of the north-south axis in an effort to unite the place.

The station also includes a Shareway sculpture by Pete D. Cole, highlighting the Garden of Remembrance, and an urban art project by Daniel Tobin marking the entry to the bus interchange at the axial crossing.

An outline of the station master’s house, once located at the interchange can be seen on the pavement near the ticket office and the original Signal Room from the old Chatswood Station has been reconstructed in the new bus interchange.
