A silent disco, theatre shows, Aussie family films, arts and crafts and circus workshops are just some of the highlights of the Chatswood Family Festival on The Concourse when it returns 3 – 27 January 2019. There’s a world of fun to be had!
Premium children’s theatre performances include Storytime Ballet: Coppélia, The Gruffalo’s Child and the Willoughby Symphony’s Mini Maestros: Musical Opposites. Children can also learn new theatre skills at NIDA School Holiday Workshops. Families can bop till they drop as Silent Sounds rolls into town for a free funky Silent Disco on 19 January with glowing headphones playing family-friendly favourites and fun games including putt-putt and ping-pong. Or have a relaxing start to your day with free Family Yoga on 8,15 and 22 January. Sit, back, relax and enjoy family movies celebrating Australian film on the Urban Screen including Blinky Bill, Bran Nue Dae, Red Dog and Paper Planes each Friday evening from 6pm. Roll up, roll up for circus skills workshops and performances with Circus Akimbo on 12 – 13 January. Learn coding skills at the CoderDojo workshop on 10 January. Drop in to Art and Craft activities from 16 – 25 January where you can also contribute to a giant collaborative painting – My Australia. Chatswood Library has a host of activities to keep minds stimulated including their popular Summer Reading Club, LEGO® Fun, Crafternoon, an author talk by Michelle Lowbeer and the Minions Movie. As you enjoy the fun, why not tuck into something delicious at one of the many restaurants and cafes on The Concourse?
