Neighbour Day 2017
Australia’s annual celebration of community, Neighbour Day, encourages us all to build better relationships with the people who live around us, so we can grow stronger and more connected communities.
There are many ways to participate in Neighbour Day, whether it's a cuppa with your neighbour, a bush walk, a plant swap or a beach day - it’s completely up to you!
Host a Neighbour Day Event!
Celebrate Neighbour Day by holding an event during the month of April 2017. The official nationally celebrated Neighbour Day this year is Sunday, 26 March 2017 and activities can also be held on that day.
- For your chance to win one of ten $50 Harris Farm gift vouchers to help you host your event, register your event on the Willoughby Council website.
- Register your event on the Neighbour Day website to receive your free Neighbour Day e-kit including posters, invitations, calling cards, nametags and other useful items.
To help you plan your event, check out the list of local Parks and Reserves that have BBQs, picnic tables and toilet facilities. Please note that under the Local Government Act 1993 – Sect 632, users of Council’s facilities must abide by Council regulations as signposted in each park. Please also remember to be respectful of residents who live nearby, as well as of other park users.
Willoughby City Council is a supporter of Neighbour Day celebrations. Enquiries relating to the event can be made directly to Relationships Australia by contacting their national office on phone 6162 9300 or by email at email@example.com.
