Stream films and documentaries

kanopy gives you access to stream over 30,000 films for free with your Willoughby Library card.

Kanopy

Getting started with kanopy

  1. Go to Willoughby Library's Kanopy page or download the app from your app store
  2. Sign up with your email address
  3. Click on the link sent to your mailbox for verification
  4. If you are using the app, search for ‘Willoughby Library Service –New South Wales’ 
  5. Add your library card number starting ‘X060’ and then tap ‘verify’
  6. Click ‘Watch now’ or ‘Start watching’ to stream your favourite films

How it works:

  • Stream up to 8 films per month
  • You have 3 days to watch each film
  • Credits will reset on the first of the month
  • Due to film classifications, Kanopy is available to adults only (parental controls are available in your dashboard)
  • If you already have a Kanopy account, you can simply add Willoughby Library to your profile

Using Borrow Box

BorrowBox App

Computers/Laptops

  1. Download Adobe Digital Editions and create an Adobe ID (ebooks)
  2. Download Windows Media Player or iTunes (audiobooks)
  3. Set up your BorrowBox account, with your Willoughby Library card. 

Mobile Devices (iOS, Android and Kindle Fire) 

  1. Download the BorrowBox app from your app store. 
  2. For Kindle Fire, follow the instructions to download app for OS4 or older here, and OS5 or newer here
  3. Follow the prompts to set up an account, with your Willoughby Library card and password
  4. Don't know your password - try the last four numbers on your card, or contact the library
                                                                             

Using RBdigital 

  **RBdigital will be unavailable on 16 and 30 of October from 8pm to 8.30pm for scheduled maintenance. We apologise for any inconvenience.

Computer/Laptops 

  1. Download the RB media player to play audiobooks. 
  2. Download Adobe Digital Editions to read ebooks. 
  3. For books, register your details with your Library card at the RBdigital website and start borrowing. 
  4. For magazines, register your details with your Library card at the RBdigital magazine portal and start borrowing.

Mobile Devices (iOS, Android, Kindle Fire)

  1. Download the RBdigital app from your app store, click 'Register now' to create your account.
  2. For Android devices, you would need Android OS to be higher than 4.4 to access RBdigital. 
  3. For Kindle Fire, register your details here using the browser on your kindle. After signed in, click on the RBdigital icon at the page bottom to access the download link of the RBdigital app. 
  4. You can access magazines, books and audiobooks in the single app.  

 


Using EBSCO


EBSCO eBooks App    

Computers/Laptops

  1. Adobe Digital Editions and an Adobe ID
  2. Log in with your library card to browse and borrow titles. 

Mobile Devices

  1. Download the BlueFire Reader app from your app store and authorise it with an Adobe ID.
  2. Open up the browser on your mobile device
  3. Access Willoughby City Library EBSCO eBooks link on its eReading webpage
  4. Sign in with your Willoughby Library card and EBSCOhost account when prompted
  5. Checked out ebooks will be opened in BlueFire app
  6. For Kindle Fire users, please follow these instructions

Using Dragonsource

  1. Access magazines online
  2. Login using your Willoughby Library card.
