Library Tech Bar
Are you new to the internet or your mobile device. Bring your device on Fridays from 11am - 12 noon and our friendly volunteers at the Tech Help Bar can help you get started. (Last session this year will be on 8 Dec, we will resume service on 9 Feb 2018)
Tech Buddy Club
Are you new to the world of smartphones and tablets? Or are you a tech-savvy senior who can help others?
Then come and take part in the Library’s program, every first Monday of each month, where you will enjoy hands-on learning, sharing knowledge and skills in a small group. You can use the Library’s devices or bring your own. (There will be a break in Jan, the first session in 2018 will be on 5 Feb)
Tech Savvy Seniors Program in English, Cantonese and Mandarin
The Tech Savvy Seniors program will assist seniors from English and non-English speaking backgrounds who have limited or no previous experience in using technology to learn new skills for the future.The training is free and will help older people to access information and stay connected with their family, friends and communities.

Self paced, online courses.
Self-paced online tutorials can be used at the Library or can be accessed from home if you have a current Willoughby Library card.
Mango Languages offers online courses in over 70 languages plus English (ESL) instruction in 15 languages.
GCF LearnFree.org access hundreds of free videos and resources on a range of technology and internet subjects. Great for those new to technology.

The Dougherty Community Centre (ph 9777 7800) and MOSAIC Multicultural Centre (ph 9777 7952) also offer basic computer training for seniors each week day. Please call the centres for more information.
