People with disability who require a carer often need to pay for themselves and a companion to attend an event or performance. This can make outings expensive. If a person with disability holds a Companion Card, the carer can attend events or performances for free, if the event is hosted by a Companion Card affiliate.
The Companion Card allows people with a significant and permanent disability, who require attendant care for the rest of their lives, to participate in community activities and events without discrimination.
For more information about the card, visit the companioncard.nsw.gov.au
