There are many other funding opportunities available from organisations including government departments, corporations, foundations and trusts.

Below are lists of NSW and Australian Government Grants:

New South Wales State Government grants

  • ArtsNSW offers grants to cultural and community groups involved in artistic activities.
  • Communitybuilders.nsw has links to funding sources for community groups and projects from federal, state and local government as well as some philanthropic funds and companies.
  • The Department of Education and Training's Community Grants Programs include funding for groups involved in promoting community languages, education, Aboriginal community projects and programs assisting disadvantaged youth and people with disabilities.
  • The Multicultural NSW provides funding for projects and activities that promote community engagement, build community harmony and social cohesion, and celebrate cultural diversity.
  • The NSW Environmental Trust offers grants for projects which involve rehabilitating or regenerating the environment or promoting environmental education and sustainability.
  • Sport and recreation grants. Compulsory school age
  • Links to Learning projects target students of compulsory school age who are enrolled in government primary, central and secondary schools.

  • Our Neighbourhood is Australia Post's program to create healthier, more vibrant and more inclusive communities through a range of initiatives.
  • The Awesome Foundation offers no-strings-attached grants worth $1000 every month. Simply fill in an application form, and a group of trustees look through the month’s applications and vote on who should receive the money. All that is needed is an awesome idea! 
  • The Copyright Agency’s Cultural Fund provides grants for Australia’s creators.
  • SUEZ Community Grants provides grants of up to $15,000 to community groups that encourage local participation in social and environmental projects which help create a more sustainable future.
  • Transurban Community Grants offer up to $3000 to support initiatives that generate social and environmental benefits for communities near our Australian roads.
