Drink Driving

The more you have drunk, the more likely you are to be involved in a crash. It’s that simple.

Because of this, drivers who hold learner, P1 or P2 licenses are not allowed to consume any alcohol before driving. That’s zero alcohol.

Avoid drink driving by:

  • Planning ahead and arranging other transport
  • Sharing a taxi with friends
  • Catching public transport
  • Staying overnight at a friend’s place
  • Riding with a driver who hasn’t been drinking or taking drugs
  • Getting someone to come and pick you up

And don’t forget, getting back to zero might take all the following day.
