Do the Local Motion and you can improve how you move. The Local Motion project aims to improve local air quality, neighbourhood amenity and create a healthier community by helping residents to challenge their old travel habits.
Our choice of travel mode has a big impact on our community. We want to improve the safety of our roads, reduce air pollution and help you get to know your neighbourhood again. Currently more than 61 per cent of all trips in the Willoughby Local Government Area are made by private vehicle. By making just one journey a day by bike, bus, train or walking instead of jumping in the car you can make a real a difference to our local community. This includes improvements to local air quality, your health and your wallet. This project is funded under the Let’s Clear the Air program, an initiative of the NSW Department of Environment, Climate Change and Water.
