Mini Maestros: Musical Opposites

Wednesday 23 January, 10am & 1pm
The Concourse Civic Pavilion

Back by popular demand, the Willoughby Symphony’s Mini Maestros series returns to The Concourse these school holidays with the interactive mini-symphony concert, Musical Opposites.

Suitable for children under 12 years, kids will have lots of fun and laughs as they learn how music can be fast or slow, loud or quiet, happy or sad.

Starring renowned children’s conductor George Ellis with the orchestra, Musical Opposites will showcase popular pieces in an engaging and interactive way with much hilarity.

Renowned conductor George Ellis was previously Musical Director of the Babies Proms orchestral series at the Sydney Opera House from 2002 to 2010, and has presented orchestral concerts for children both in Australia and internationally.

“Willoughby Symphony’s Mini Maestros concert is the perfect introduction to classical music for children under 12, and the young at heart,” said George Ellis.

Tickets are just $26 and babies under 12 months are free. Seating is general admission, ensuring the concert is informal and interactive.
