FREE event

Renowned photographic artist, Richard Batterley will take you through the history of the camera and showcase his personal collection of antique cameras in a special Talks@Willoughby event this July.

Richard has been taking photographs for nearly 60 years - as a photographic director for advertising campaigns and also as an artist. His passion for photography was sparked at the age of nine when his mother gave him an old Box Brownie from the 1920s.

With this humble camera he began to explore the science and art of photography, and today he is renowned for creating beautiful images from everyday things.

Richard is also a highly accomplished public speaker and has spoken at many conferences around the world, best known for his informative talks on the development of photography from the world of the scientist in the 1820s to the world of the photographic artist today.

Richard will be donating one of his prints as a lucky door prize at the event.
