My Food Culture, My Story Exhibition
04 April 2018
9am - 5pm, Wednesday 18 April – Tuesday 8 May
Willoughby City Council foyer, 31 Victor St, Chatswood
Willoughby City Council and Harris Farm present My Food Culture, My Story Exhibition, a showcase of ten deliciously beautiful photographs of cuisines created by the Heritage Festival Recipe Competition finalists.
The Heritage Festival Recipe Competition asked entrants to share a family recipe for the chance to make the dish and have it styled and photographed by a professional food stylist. Each of the photographs on display will be accompanied by the stories behind the recipes.
An official opening of the exhibition will be held at 6.30pm on Wednesday 18 April.
“Many of us have family recipes that hold a certain magic – and the stories attached to them can bring us incredible joy,” Willoughby Mayor, Gail Giles-Gidney said. “This exhibition is a wonderful celebration of family, tradition and history and I thank all entrants for sharing their stories with us,” she said.
“The My Food Culture, My Story Exhibition is just one of the many fantastic events held during the Heritage Festival this year – come along and discover more about the rich and fascinating history of Willoughby,” she added.
This event is part of the 2018 Heritage Festival. For further information, please visit www.willoughby.nsw.gov.au
