Join us for a fascinating evening of neuroscience, programming and design with Light, Art and the Brain on Thursday 31 May at Chatswood Library on The Concourse.

Australian illumination artist Laura Jade will demonstrate how to use Brainlight, an interactive installation that lights up with the power of your mind, as well as discuss her collaboration with neuroscientists and programmers in the development of her art.

Fusing art, biology, illumination design, neuroscience and BCI (brain-computer interface) technology to explore our inner biological processes, Laura’s work has been exhibited at major institutions across Australia, including the Museum of Contemporary Art, The Powerhouse Museum, and the Australian Museum.

Laura has a Masters in Illumination Design from the University of Technology Sydney, a degree in Fine Art and further studies in biology, science communication, curation and museum studies.
