The full Willoughby Orchestra and Choir present their highly anticipated Last Night of the Proms concert, under the baton of the inimitable Chief Conductor and Artistic Director, Dr Nicholas Milton AM.

Featuring special guest soloists, violinist Mitzi Gardner and Pacific Opera singers, the concert will be a joyous celebration of masterpieces including Elgar’s Pomp and Circumstances March No.1, Coates Dambusters Overture, Samuel Barber’s Sure on this shining night, Parry’s Jerusalem and many more beloved classics.

16 year old Mitzi Gardner currently attends the Sydney Conservatorium of Music Rising Stars Program as a scholarship student and has been awarded an A.Mus.A. and L.Mus.A. with distinction from the Australian Music Examinations Board.

Mitzi has been concertmaster of The Arts Unit Orchestra and has participated as a scholarship recipient in the Australian Chamber Orchestra’s education program, the Australian Youth Orchestra program and was part of Australian Youth Orchestra’s International Tour to Europe and China in 2016. Her incredible talent and passion for violin has taken her all the way to the 2017 NSW Drs Orchestra Sydney Eisteddfod Instrumental Final.

“Experience the magic of the Proms in this spine-tingling performance by the Willoughby Symphony and our special guest artists,” said Dr Milton AM. “Wave your flag high as you enjoy the triumphant strains of this glorious music, set against the backdrop of the world class Concert Hall on The Concourse,” he said.
