Eat & drink your way through the Emerge Festival

08 August 2018

The delicious delights of Chatswood and surrounds will be served up during the Emerge Festival with beer, local produce and a food tour on offer.

Toast some local craft beers or indulge in international foods to celebrate the 21st year of the Emerge Festival.

Willoughby City Council Mayor Gail Giles-Gidney said the local food culture would be a centrepiece of the Emerge Festival.

“Our area has gradually established itself as a food mecca, so it’s only natural that food and the celebration of food and culture be a strong part of the Emerge Festival,” Mayor Giles-Gidney said.

New this year is the “Within 100” produce market. A celebration of locally sourced that brings products and fresh foods made or grown within 100km of Chatswood. Even from Willoughby residents backyards to the Chatswood Mall.

Returning as a special favourite is the craft beer fair at the Willoughby Hotel.

Food highlights include:

  • Food Swap, 7 Sep, 9:30am - 11am, meet friendly green thumbs and exchange your produce, Blend Café, Dougherty Community Centre, 7 Victor Street, Chatswood
  • A Taste of Asia Food Tour, 29 Sep, 10:30am - 2pm. Foodies rejoice! If you want to find all the hidden gems in Chatswood, now is your chance!
