1001 Nights Children’s Concert

Children are invited to go on an exciting journey through Ancient Persia with the Willoughby Symphony’s 1001 Nights Children’s Concert, this August at The Concourse.
Introducing children to classical music in a fun and engaging way, Chief Conductor and Artistic Director, Dr Nicholas Milton AM will lead a dynamic and interactive performance of Nikolai Rimsky-Korsakov’s beloved Scheherazade that will entrance children of all ages.
The concert will be followed by free face painting and entertainment from 3pm – 4pm in The Concourse foyer, as well as an opportunity for children to meet the musicians and learn more about the instruments of an orchestra. Children are also welcome to come dressed in their best prince and princess costumes with prizes for best dressed!
“Our family concert is always a highlight of the year for this reason, where audiences can really get to know how the music is put together and experience the orchestra in a relaxed and fun-filled atmosphere,” said Dr Nicholas Milton AM. “1001 Nights is a perfect fusion of entertainment and education - a wonderful way to for children to develop an understanding and lifelong appreciation for classical music,” he said.
